The “shape of the sound” inspired the roof concept has curves that follow the acoustic reflections of sound from stage to audience. The current theatre opened in 1998 and combines a total area 26,615 square feet of sweeping stage and mezzanine roofs which have a clerestory joining the two roofs. Presenting a panorama of breathtaking background scenery, the Jemez Mountains to the west and Sangre de Cristo Mountains to the east create a one-of-a-kind night “performance” of their own.
